Old bulls, tender grass tough to stomach

If there is a theme this week it is mature male celebrities and young models, or "old bulls eating tender grass", as the Chinese saying goes.

Kicking off with the Green Lantern kungfu star and master of Mandopop, Jay Chou. The 32-year-old who is rumored to have married the 18-year-old model Hannah Quinlivan has been telling reporters what qualities his future wife must have.

"She must be honest and be able to make sincere comments or give advice about my music and work. She must admire me, but not have a kind of blind admiration," Jay says.

Additionally, he adds, she should be modest and thoughtful, just like him.

Finally, he will marry before 35 because he doesn't want to be so old when he eventually does have kids that he won't be able to carry them around.

The only thing he won't talk about, it seems, is whether he is already married.

The old bull, young grass story of the week, however, has to be the latest sex photo scandal of Edison Chen, 31, who regular readers will no doubt be tired of hearing by now, filmed himself bedding loads of Hong Kong celebrities and then managed to get the photos uploaded to the world after they were taken from his computer, which he sent for repair, in 2008.

This time around, the model in question is just 16 years old. Cammi Tse. She may be young but she has already released a "glamour" book and been embroiled in one "exposure" scandal. Since this is a family paper we can only say that Tse alleges the Taiwan model Shen Chi-ming was playing with himself in an inappropriate fashion in front of her house one night. He denies it.

However, no one is denying that Chen and Tse recently dated for approximately three months and the only reason they were caught out was that Tse, conveniently, perhaps, lost her phone, which had photos of the couple in loving embraces. Worse, there were texts, or, more accurately, sexts, from Chen to Tse, telling her what to wear (school uniform, bikini, special underwear) when she visited him at his apartment.

It has been a perfect storm for Chen, who was moved to comment: "Seeing these reports, my feelings are complicated (Cammi and I) just started but now this thing happens. There's nothing I can say in response."

Edison's ex-lover Gloria Wong, however, criticized the singer-actor for being "sick".

Thankfully, we can return to more wholesome celebrity spice now with the rumor that 44-year-old actor Ekin Cheng is set to tie the knot with actress Yoyo Mung, who is a healthy 38.

The pair has been dating for five years and despite the fact that Cheng is a commitment-phobe he admitted after friend Jordan Chan's wedding in 2010 that he too was thinking of settling down. An underwater wedding is in the works, we hear.
