People want the toilets to be clean and convenient and nothing fancy. It is a pure waste of money of building luxury facades, and efforts should be made to increase the coverage of public toilets and enhance their management to make them cleaner. Plus, people's concept of proper bathroom etiquette and personal hygiene standards should be improved.

A “five-star” public bathroom was recently spotted in the Shapingba district of southwestern China's Chongqing municipality. The bathroom is equipped with TV, Wi-Fi and a baby-care room. In addition, it provides free drinking water, mobile phone charging stations and automatic shoe polishers.
