The Chichibu Museum of Rare Stones

The Chichibu Museum of Rare Stones, in Chichibu city of Japan, opened its doors 27 years ago, and boasts a staggering collection of 700 human face stones.

These exhibits took Shoji Hayama, the museum's first director, more than 50 years to collect at the nearby Akawara river.

Hanging around the museum can be a great fun and an eye-opening experience, as its bizarre collection of celebrity lookalikes can blow your mind. Among all the showpieces, you can find pebbles featuring literally everyone from actors and musicians to characters in art and emojis.

These real "rock stars" include Elvis, the king of rock and roll; Jabba the Hut; the 19th century composer Ludwig Van Beethoven; and ET from the 1982 Steven Spielberg film, ET - The Extra Terrestrial. Interestingly, there is even one pebble that looks like the crying face emoji.
