A run-off vote will be held in the presidential election in Brazil on Oct 28. The far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro has a sizeable lead in opinion polls over his leftist rival, Workers Party candidate Fernando Haddad.

The latest poll, published by Ibope late on Oct 15, showed Bolsonaro had a commanding lead, with 59 percent of valid votes against Haddad's 41 percent.

Betting markets give Bolsonaro an 85 percent chance of becoming the country's next president. He is now seeking to ride to the presidency on a wave of anger over graft, rising violence and a weak economy.

Bolsonaro won 46 percent of the vote in the first round in a crowded field of candidates. Haddad entered the second round 17 percentage points behind.
