Should airlines provide free food for economy passengers?

Jaaja (Canada)

Ticket prices have a tendency to go up, nevertheless, as a result of normal inflation, so making meals an extra service can be just a choice to stay competitive against other airlines who increase ticket prices and keep the meals.

Anyway, I never found any food served on China's domestic flights much to cry about, but usually it is served together with a bottle of water, which would be nice to have in the future also.
