In September, media reports with headlines like "Lenovo CEO: 'We're not a Chinese company'" sparked heated online debate. Yang Yuanqing, CEO of the company, clarified on social media that he hopes Lenovo can be not only a successful Chinese company, but also a global company.

According to data released by Lenovo, it has become the world's largest PC manufacturer with a turnover of $43 billion, ranking 226th among the world's top 500 companies. In the past 12 years, 76 percent of its revenue came from overseas, and the company has headquarters both in China and the United States.
