Cross-sea bridge officially starts operation in Hainan

Puqian Bridge, connecting Haikou, Hainan province, to Puqian, Wenchang, opens to the public on Monday, shortening travel time by car from 90 minutes to about 20 minutes. It is China's first over-sea bridge that crosses a geological fault zone prone to seismic activity. It was designed to be highly resistant to earthquakes and extreme winds.
