A total of 3.8 million mu (253,333 hectares) of apricot flowers in Jaruud Banner, Tongliao, are beginning to blossom.

The flowers begin to bloom in the city, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, around mid-April every year, lasting five-to-seven days.

Due to a difference in latitude between south and north of the banner, temperatures in the area vary.

Apricot blossoms in the south bloom earlier than the north, meaning the entire blooming period lasts about 20 days.
