Hyde seeks solo success with new album

Japanese musician Takarai Hideto — better known by his stage name, Hyde — has digitally released his new solo album, Anti, worldwide and is launching a 13-city tour of the United States.

The new album features five singles, including Mad Qualia which features on the soundtrack for the new video game Devil May Cry 5.

The vocalist, who cut his teeth in top Japanese bands, L'Arc-en-Ciel and Vamps, recently performed in several Chinese cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu of Sichuan province. During his April tour of China, he said that the roles of being a solo artist and being in a band inspire him in different ways. He also expressed how impressed he was by his Chinese fan base during the tour.
