A special cultural relic exhibition that opened in the National Museum of China on Saturday is expected to help further raise the influence of history and culture in Jinchang, a city in Northwest China's Gansu province.

A total of 21 historical relics collected by the Jinchang Museum, with other relics unearthed along the ancient Silk Road in Northwest China, will be exhibited during a three-month relics show.

The relics help reflect the social, economic and trade development in the cities and towns along the ancient Silk Road and ancient dynasties.

Relics from Jinchang city mainly include rare bronze wares. They showcase the city's splendid culture and long history and demonstrate that Jinchang was an important city in those eras. .

In April, the relics from Jinchang were on display in a similar exhibition of relics, The Ancient Silk Road and Gansu Culture. The exhibition was jointly held by the National Museum of China and Gansu Provincial Museum.
