A 24-hour self-service police office opened at the Shichengshu police station in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

As the first of its kind in Ningxia, it offers around-the-clock self-service all year round. People can complete many formalities, such as applying for a new identification card or paying a traffic ticket, automatically within minutes.

Covering an area of 12 square meters, the "unmanned police office" is equipped with an ID card integrated processing machine, a traffic tickets processing machine and a machine which automatically stamps the documents needed to enter Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

By touching the electronic screens, people can easily understand the 26 items of related businesses.

Meanwhile, if they choose express delivery, they can receive the ID cards within 10 working days without having to come back to receive them.
