The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau is making a big push to promote the country in China.

Speaking at a recent media event in Beijing, Cong Yizhe, a member of bureau said: "Sri Lanka was one of the earliest countries in the world to establish diplomatic relations with China, so many Chinese people are familiar with the country and would like to go there."

Meanwhile, the bureau as part of its China push has developed a "Go Lanka" mini program on WeChat to provide information to tourists and help them have a better travel experience in Sri Lanka.
