Nubia, the sub-brand of Chinese tech company ZTE Corp, unveiled an updated version of its gamer-targeted phone, Red Magic 3S, on Thursday in Shanghai. The phone includes an enhanced built-in fan and 3D surround sound as parts of its new features.

The phone came with a Snapdragon 855 plus system-on-a-chip (SoC) for increased performance for a higher quality gaming experience. The processor is an update from the Snapdragon 855 that powers the Red Magic 3, its predecessor released in April.

The smartphone features a display with a 90Hz refresh rate and offers 4D vibration feedback for enhanced mobile gaming.

Playing games on mobile phones can create a lot of heat in the device as it requires enormous processing power. The latest phone has upgraded its built-in fan with a strengthened liquid cooling system.

The device is also available with two storage options - 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage priced at 2,999 yuan ($419.1), and the higher storage variant (12 GB RAM +256 GB storage) priced at 3,799 yuan.

Mobile gaming is expected to generate revenues of $95.4 billion in 2022 and account for almost half of the entire games market, according to estimates by consultancy NewZoo. This will be driven predominantly by smartphones, with revenues of $79.7 billion by 2022.
