Solomon Islands PM to pay official visit to China

Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Manasseh Sogavare will pay a 6-day official visit to China starting on Tuesday at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Monday.
During the visit, Sogavare will attend the closing ceremony of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 in Beijing, Hua said.
The visit comes as China and the Pacific island country established diplomatic ties late last month.
