Gourmet festival "Chinese Taste - Food Workshop from Beijing" was held at Beijing Impression restaurant in Sydney from Sept 25 to 27.

During the three-day event, master chefs from the Chinese capital served and elaborated on cooking methods of Beijing-style cuisine, such as braised prawns and the famed Beijing Roast Duck.

"China's culinary culture has a long history. It's an essential part of traditional Chinese culture," said Chen Shuang, head of the China Cultural Center in Sydney. "We hope to enhance Australian people's passion for Chinese food, as well as friendship between the two peoples through this event."

The festival was co-organized by the China Cultural Center in Sydney, China National Tourist Office in Sydney and the Network of International Culturallink Entities.
