UK MPs to have special sitting to decide Brexit future
The British House of Commons will have a rare sitting on Oct 19, the day on which British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is tasked with seeking a Brexit extension if there is no deal with Brussels.
By Oct 18, politicians in Britain will have a clear picture of the European Union's (EU) response to the Brexit deal brokered by Johnson after the crucial two-day summit of the European Council ends in Brussels.
Johnson is expected to give a full report of the summit to the MPs and he is also likely to face questions about parliament's legal instruction to seek an extension of Britain's departure date from the bloc, penciled in at the moment for Oct 31.
