Smartphone vendor OnePlus unveiled its latest 7T series on Tuesday, as the Chinese company continues to tap into high-end foreign markets to beef up its presence.

The latest handsets, boasting a 90 Hz refresh rate, are able to offer customers a smoother and more vivid watching experience.

Liu Zuohu, founder and CEO of OnePlus, said that the firm has put big efforts into developing the quality of its smartphones so as to gain a lead in the high-end overseas market.

Chinese brands are now itching to take on Indian, South Korean, Japanese and US brands, said Nicole Peng, research director at global consultancy Canalys.

A Counterpoint report showed that OnePlus took fourth place in the market share of the global high-end smartphones in the first quarter of 2019.

With a 43 percent share, OnePlus also topped other Indian high-end smartphones in the second quarter of this year.
