The span of the 3D-printed concrete bridge is 18.04 meters and the total length is 28.1 meters. It was prefabricated at the university's Beichen campus in Tianjin with sections that were 3D-printed at approximately 1:2 the scale of the original.

All concrete materials and mechanical equipment used for the 3D printing were independently developed by the Tianjin-based Hebei University of Technology, according to Ma Guowei, vice-president of the university, dean of the university's School of Civil and Transportation Engineering and head of the bridge's research group.
