The Galloped Era, the first TV drama focusing on the development history of China's electric locomotive industry, will air on Zhejiang Television and Dragon TV, as well as the network platforms of iQiyi and Tencent video.

The drama, starring actor Tong Dawei and actress Jiang Xin and directed by Xu Zongzheng, celebrates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. From importation to independent research and development, and then becoming an industry leader, China's locomotive industry has achieved development that has seen a great leap forward during the past 70 years, thanks to the huge efforts made by generations of locomotive staff.

Characters in the drama have different life experiences, while they all struggle to support the take-off of China's electric locomotive industry during their lifetime.

The love story between Chang Hanqing, played by Tong Dawei, and Jin Canlan, played by Jiang Xin, is highlighted throughout the whole drama, which may touch audiences with the simple and heart-warming moments of life.

Jiang Xin said, "In my mother's home, they have three generations of railway workers and so I have a sense of mission to play my character well."
