Record-breaking head-down bedrest study completed in China

"Lying long in a head-down position, the human's body fluid will flow to the chest and the bones and muscles will be less activated and stimulated, similar to what astronauts will experience in a zero-gravity environment", said Li Yinghui, a senior scientist with China's manned space program.

Over the three-month period from August to October, tests and data collections have been done more than 10,000 times concerning the participants' basic physiology, angiocarpy, bones, psychological status and other items.
