As early as 2008, gambiered Guangdong silk was included in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s list of national intangible cultural heritage. To better inherit and protect liangchou, develop and promote liangchou cultural industry, and comprehensively expand and extend the industrial chain in terms of clothing, creativity and cultural tourism, under the planning and guidance of Shunde district government, TANGY Liangchou Ecological Cultural Investment Co Ltd in Foshan invested and built the protection base.

Liang Zi, the head of the base, has been committed to inheriting and innovating liangchou dyeing and finishing technology for more than 20 years. She has won "Golden Top Award", the highest honor in China’s design industry.

According to Liang Zi, the reason for establishing the protection base is to protect the liangchou culture from disappearance under today’s utilitarian impact. The protection base not only belongs to TANGY, but also Shunde, and the whole world. This year, TANGY Collection has opened Maison Liangzi on the Rive Gauche in Paris, an international ecological fashion experience space for national intangible cultural heritage gambiered Guangdong silk. TANGY has been committed to discovering, protecting, inheriting and internationally promoting it for the past 25 years.
