A group of residents on Friday pay tribute to a senior cleaner who died after being hit in the head from a brick, which was suspected of being thrown by a rioter in Sheung Shui.

The man was the first death amid the protracted Extradition Bill Incident that has gripped Hong Kong since June.

An outsourced worker of the government, he was allegedly hit during a lunch break and subsequently passed away at the Prince of Wales Hospital on the night of Nov 14.

The police have confirmed that the brick was hurled by a masked black-clad radical after checking CCTV footage and will investigate the incident as a murder case.
