Peking Opera promoted through immersive experience in Singapore

The final session was a performance given by noted artist Tian Ping, who performed the four major roles of sheng (male role), dan (female role), jing (painted-face male role), and chou (comic male role). Tian invited participants to wander into a series of interactive art installations that pay homage to Peking Opera’s iconic costumes and props.

The event was launched by CulturedGen, a Singapore-based cultural company, which is aspiring to lead the (re)discovery of Chinese arts and heritage through immersive and interactive pop-up experiences that stimulate all five senses.
