Former SARS hospital put back into use in Beijing

The hospital was originally built to treat severe acute respiratory syndrome patients in 2003. On March 16, Beijing put Xiaotangshan Hospital back into use, with more than 1,000 beds prepared for screening and treatment of imported mild and common confirmed COVID-19 cases, suspected cases and those who need to be tested. There are more than 1,000 medics from 22 hospitals in Beijing working in seven groups. As of Saturday, a total of 2,002 people have been quarantined there, and 43 were confirmed to have novel coronavirus.
