He told Liberians that employees of all agencies of government excluding the Ministry of Finance, Liberia Revenue Authority, National Port Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Bank of Liberia are to work at home.

President Weah also indicated that only one member of a household is required to visit provision and grocery shops and markets for one hour only during the period.

The president said that commercial banks would remain open to provide essential services during the pandemic.

He ordered the Joint Security, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia to enforce the order, while recalling the National Legislature to convene an emergency session on April 9 to approve the issuance of the state of emergency.
