Stylish bookstore opens in Yunnan

Well-known for its stylish architecture and decor, Librairie Avant-Garde bookstore opened its 16th bookstore on May 1 in Yunnan province.

Founded by Qian Xiaohua in 1996 in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, the bookstore was ranked as China's most beautiful by CNN in 2013.

"The villages need an orderly public place," Qian said. "I gave much attention to the desires of residents when I built there."
