Milik is priority for Juventus, says Luciano Moggi
WARSAW - Former Juventus general director Luciano Moggi believes that Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik is the main target of the Italian champions, but the Pole could wait after the season finishes to join the "Old Lady" as a free agent.
Milik's representatives have held talks with Napoli to renew the player's contract but they haven't reached an agreement yet. Italian media claim the forward is pushing for an exit from the "Partenopei" as Juventus is interested in hiring him and they had even started to negotiate with the Polish striker.
"I can tell you that Juventus are interested in Milik, they prefer the Polish player than Icardi. The Napoli's player wouldn't even complain if he ended up on the bench. However, Milik can stay in Naples until the end of the season and then go to Juventus on a free transfer," said Moggi.
It's believed that Milik would replace Gonzalo Higuain, who is set to leave the club. "Higuain will not renew the contract with the Bianconeri. River Plate, which is interested in Higuain, would only sign him as a free transfer," he added.
