China's foreign ministry will create more opportunities for Central China's Hubei province, the country's hardest-hit area by the COVID-19 pandemic, to restart international exchanges and bolster international cooperation, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday.

The ministry will host a special global promotion event to introduce the province and its capital, Wuhan, which have had a rebirth after the pandemic, to garner more global understanding and support, he said at a news conference held on the sidelines of the third plenary session of the 13th National People's Congress.
