Guangxi's armed police get cartoon salute

Recently, a series of cartoons honoring the armed police who rescued people amid massive flooding in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region went viral online.

Chen Chunna, the illustrator, said: "I am so impressed by what the armed police have done to help the people trapped in the flood that I decided to record it in an artistic way."

According to the provincial government, the armed police evacuated 3,000 people safely, cleaned up a 30-kilometer-long road and delivered food 1,000 times as they battled the flood.
