Exhibition celebrates national academy's new creation building

An exhibition is being held at the China National Academy of Painting in Beijing to celebrate the opening of its new creation building on Aug 15.

The exhibition runs at the much-anticipated Mingde Building through Sept 15 and shows more than 200 works across different media, including painting, calligraphy, sculpture and prints. All are produced by either the academy's resident artists or visiting artists and researchers.

The building provides extensive space for future exhibitions and more studios to accommodate artists and scholars from across the country.
