Flights resume from Chongqing to Seoul
Regular passenger flights between Chongqing and Seoul, South Korea, resumed on Saturday morning at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport after being suspended for several months because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flights are operated by Asiana Airlines.
South Korea is Chongqing's second-largest trading partner after the United States, with total foreign trade volume reaching 50.65 billion yuan ($7.39 billion) in 2019.
As more international routes resume, the entry-exit inspection station in Chongqing is continuing to follow coronavirus prevention and control procedures handed down by the central government. Strict measures are in place to prevent the importation of the coronavirus while helping the aviation industry to resume full-scale operations.
