Themed "Shaping Our Future Together: Poverty Eradication & Peaceful Development", the latest Vision China event will be broadcast online at 8:30 pm on Sept 16.

The event will feature four prominent speakers: Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and president of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network; Kishore Mahbubani, former Singaporean ambassador to the United Nations; Gert Johannes Grobler, former senior diplomat in the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation; and Martin Jacques, senior fellow of politics and international studies at Cambridge University.

Launched in 2018 by China Daily, Vision China invites renowned political, business and academic speakers to tell China's story from a global perspective and discuss major China-related topics of international interest.

Vision China has been held 14 times so far across the world including Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Macao, the US, the UK and South Africa. The latest event, which will be held online due to COVID-19, is the sixth virtual Vision China session.
