Canton Fair
This year the China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, was held twice online – the 127th edition from June 15 to 24, and the 128th from Oct 15 to 24.
The 127th Canton Fair was moved online for the first time in Guangzhou, Guangdong province due to the COVID-19 epidemic. It drew nearly 26,000 domestic and foreign enterprises, with 1.8 million products exhibited.
The 128th event attracted around 26,000 domestic and overseas enterprises, with more than 2.35 million products spanning 50 exhibition areas in 16 categories.
Founded in 1957, the Canton Fair has been deemed an important barometer of China's foreign trade.
The success of the virtual Canton Fair blazed a new path of international trade development, and laid a solid foundation for online-offline integrated development.
