The 18th Heilongjiang College Students Ice Sculpture Competition concluded on Sunday at Zhaolin Park in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

The three-day event attracted 400 contestants from 40 universities across the province, including Harbin Normal University, Heilongjiang University, Harbin University of Science and Technology and Qiqihar University.

After a fierce competition featuring a total of 80 sculptures, eight of them won first prize.

All the sculptures will be displayed in the park as a part of the Harbin Ice Lantern Exhibition, which is expected to open to the public on New Year's Day.
