There will always be competition in any industry or market. Using competition as an excuse to slave-drive staff is counterproductive. Instead of exhortations, management and supervision should sit down and plan better, and then filter each work schedule and target through a prism of human sensitivity by asking themselves a simple question - would they want the same hardship befalling their own sibling or children? If the answer is no, why are they still reading this? Get up and go do the right thing.
