Player of Beings, an exhibition at the Ming Contemporary Art Museum in Shanghai, creates an atmosphere mixing nostalgia, fun and reflection. It reviews the evolution of games over seven decades, and examines the role of games in the development of human society and people's mentality.

Curated by Qiu Zhijie and Chen Baoyang, the exhibition through March 28 shows works reflecting different experiences of people playing different forms of games, such as computer games and the emergence of electronic sports.

It traces not only the technological progress in the game industry but also the relationships between games and people, and social changes, as well as the multiple roles of games in bringing people the joy of triumph and boosting interpersonal exchanges in a digital era.
