WTO members should intensify efforts to notify the trade-related measures in response to COVID-19 pandemic, said China's top commerce official on Friday.

Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao made the remarks at a virtual informal WTO ministerial gathering with ministers from 29 member countries and organizations.

WTO members should "promote the initiative on liberalization of trade in medical products, maintain open markets, avoid imposing trade restrictive measures, and keep the global supply and industrial chains stable", Wang said.
