As the Spring Festival in 2021 approaches, the Chinese Tourism Office in Rome and the Italian magazine China in Italy have jointly published a Chinese-Italian bilingual picture book The Origin of Spring Festival, as a unique gift for Italian young people.

The book, drawn by Chinese illustrator Zhu Waiying, introduces Chinese New Year with cartoons and short bilingual essays. Readers can also scan a QR code to listen to recordings of the essays.

The book will be available on Amazon.com and bookstore Feltrinelli prior to the New Year's Day.

It is an important innovation of the "2021 Happy Chinese New Year" activities by the Chinese Tourism Office in Rome. Through cultural and creative works, the book will help more Italian teenagers learn about the Spring Festival and Chinese culture.
