In this year's government work report, China set a goal for GDP growth in 2021 at over 6 percent, demonstrating strong self-confidence in the country's economy. The report listed the development goals for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) and also outlined long-term goals for 2035, providing a blueprint and a path to accomplish them.

The report has emphasized the development of the real economy, the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and creating new advantages in the digital economy. The deep integration of the digital economy with the real economy and the industrial upgrading of Chinese manufacturing are inseparable from the support and empowerment from the new information and technology infrastructure.
