The Beijing government filed its first case involving the illegal use of the logo of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China for commercial purposes, according to Beijing Daily's report on Friday.

According to the report, Dongcheng district's market supervision authority found two shops selling notebooks, cups and umbrellas printed with the logos of the 100th anniversary during their regular check on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the regulation of the management on special logos and marks in China, the vendors are suspected to have broken the rule of using the special logos for commercial purposes.

Altogether 336 items in the two shops were registered and taken away. The case is now under investigation.

The authority reminds the public that special logos should not be used for advertisement or any commercial or personal use.

Residents can report violations by dialing the number 12345.
