Deputy killed while chasing fleeing motorcyclist in California; suspect dead

Dominic Vaca, a Southern California sheriff's deputy, died after being shot by a suspect who tried to escape on a motorcycle, authorities said Tuesday. The suspect was killed in a shootout with deputies east of Los Angeles.
