A highlighted digital immersive exhibition opened in Beijing to display the glamour of Mogao Caves on Friday.

Mogao Caves, a cluster of Buddhist caves dating back to the fourth to 14th centuries in Dunhuang, Gansu province, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a key witness to cross-cultural communication along the Silk Road. The caves are best known for their exquisite frescoes.

The exhibition Meet Dunhuang was co-organized by Art Exhibitions China, a national-level institution in charge of the promotion of cross-cultural communication through cultural relics, and China Arts and Entertainment Group at Hi-Up, a shopping district in the Wukesong area. Chang Shana, the famous 90-year-old scholar on Dunhuang studies, has been invited to be the adviser for the project.
