Junaid came with his wife Misbah Rafique and their three-year-old daughter. When asked about his visit to Smart China Expo 2021, Junaid said: "It was one of the biggest and one of the greatest expo on the smart economy. There were a lot of things to learn like how digital technologies could be used in the health sector, education; how they can improve our lifestyles, our agriculture, our environment, and our security. One of the key takeaways of my visit to Chongqing is to promote digitalization, to promote more cooperation with China." He told the journalist present that he plans to revisit Chongqing in October to coordinate the establishment of the sister city between Chongqing and Karachi and the sister province between Chongqing and Balochistan. He also said that as the bridge capital of the world, Chongqing impressed him greatly, "especially the view on Nanshan and the World Financial Center."
