International journalists witness century of success in Jiangsu province
"Jiangsu is an epitome of China's development and I strongly expect that I can find the answer after I visit the cities (in Jiangsu)," said Protchenko, adding that she would use her program to show the Arab world the things she has seen in Jiangsu to help them objectively know more about China.
The media representatives visited the United World College Changshu China and the intelligent manufacturing and delivery centers of Bosideng, down jacket maker, in Changshu on Wednesday.
They also planned to visit venues including Zhangxing community and the former residence of late Premier Zhou Enlai in Huaian to learn more about Jiangsu from the aspects of economy, science and technology, culture, ecology and the general public's life.
The event is a brand one for foreign publicity developed by the Jiangsu government and China Daily. It is also part of a series of events where China Daily organizes overseas media representatives to visit and report on China.
The series has been held more than 40 times in different regions and attracted 300-plus journalists and photographers from more than 100 media outlets since it started in 2010. It has offered an effective platform for promoting communication between China and other countries and regions.
