Li congratulates Hungary PM on election win
Vucic's victory
Also on Sunday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his party won a widely expected national election, according to early pollster projections.
Vucic was projected to win almost 60 percent of the vote in the presidential poll, some 40 points ahead of his closest challenger, according to pollster Ipsos and local nonprofit Center for Free Elections and Democracy.
Zdravko Ponos, a retired army general representing the pro-European and centrist Alliance for Victory coalition, was projected to come in second with 17.1 percent of the votes.
Vucic declared victory on Sunday evening in both the presidential and parliamentary elections, saying he was proud to win the second outright mandate without going into a runoff.
"A huge thank you to the citizens of Serbia," said the 52-year-old head of the Serbian Progressive Party, or SNS. He will serve another five years in his second term as president of the Balkan nation.
The SNS was projected to win with 43 percent of the votes, followed by the main opposition United for Victory of Serbia with about 13 percent.
Since the SNS would likely fail to secure enough of the 250-seat parliament to rule alone, it will have to seek coalition partners.
Under Vucic, Serbia has developed closer relations with China. Serbia has also been in accession talks with the European Union for many years.
