Economists: US might be headed for a recession

The US may tumble into a recession next year as the Federal Reserve is hiking interest rates to curb inflation, several economists said recently. Under the forecast by economists, US unemployment will rise to 4.9 percent in 2024, according to Bloomberg. Joblessness in March was around 3.6 percent.
