Shadow puppeteer Zhang Xiangdong, 75, has performed for 62 years in Changli county of Qinhuangdao, Hebei province. From throwing shadows onto screens to dubbing in background opera music and carving puppets, he is skilled in the art of the shadow play. He said his main task now is to pass on his skills to younger generations.
