Terraces glow on a summer morning

In early summer, as Grain in Ear, the ninth solar term — also known as Mangzhong — begins in June, rainfall, temperature and humidity increase.

Rice farmers have finished transplanting sprouts in Wantanhe town and Daxin village of Longli county, Guizhou province, making for beautiful scenes in the morning sun. The bright sky is mirrored in clear water, and terraces become a natural palette.
