China will adhere to zero-COVID strategy, health minister tells US ambassador

China's Health Minister Ma Xiaowei said the country will continue to adhere to its dynamic zero-COVID strategy during a meeting on Tuesday with Nicholas Burns, the new United States ambassador to China.
They also shared opinions on strengthening bilateral communication and exchange in the healthcare sector and expressed willingness to follow through on the spirit of telephone conversations and video conferences between the Chinese and US presidents.
During the meeting, Ma also expounded on China's COVID-19 control policy and said the country will continue to adopt a precise and scientific approach to deal with the novel coronavirus.
