RECOVERY IN SHANGHAI

Shanghai's cultural venues and tourist attractions will gradually reopen to the public starting from Friday, local authorities said on Wednesday. According to the Shanghai Administration of Culture and Tourism, eight types of cultural venue and tourism spots in the city, including museums, galleries and all Class-A tourist attractions will gradually resume operations starting on July 1. The daily visitor flow of indoor venues shall be capped at 50 percent of its regular capacity, while that of outdoor locations will be at 75 percent, noted pandemic prevention and control guidelines.

CRUISE ALONG CANAL

The Beijing-Hebei section on the northern stretch of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal opened to tourist boats on June 24. It gives visitors a chance to appreciate views of the Chinese capital and neighboring Hebei province from the waterway. Three cruise routes have been drawn up. The longest of them is a 40-kilometer journey lasting four hours. The shortest is 6 km and lasts 45 minutes.

OPENING IN BEIJING

Beijing Chongwenmen Tongpai Hotel opened its doors on Friday. The first of the Tongpai brand in the capital, the hotel is situated in a prime location and has easy access to the city's metro system and Beijing Railway Station. It is also near popular attractions including the Temple of Heaven, Palace Museum, Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing shopping street. Targeting younger generations, the hotel aims to satisfy their needs and provide them with distinctive and personalized travel experiences.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hard Rock, an international hospitality and entertainment group, Hard Rock Hotel Dalian launched a music event on June 18 in cooperation with the Harley-Davidson motorcycle brand. The event, showcasing the complementary cultures of the two brands, brought a new lifestyle experience to Dalian, a coastal city in Liaoning province in Northeast China.

CULINARY DELIGHTS

Wanda Reign on the Bund Shanghai is offering a special brunch at its Cafe Reign every weekend. It includes fresh seafood, Japanese wagyu beef hotpot, and carvings of honey roast ham. Cafe Region has also set up a special kids corner, preparing children's food and fun games such as Lego and PlayStation.

Shangri-La Dalian in Liaoning province hosted a special gala night on June 24. A team from the Xuelong Wagyu Beef company demonstrated their expert butchery and cookery skills on-site. They also shared their expertise on preparing beef dishes with participants. The hotel offered a variety of vintage wines to match the dishes, bringing a feast for the eyes and taste buds to diners.
